THE MAGIC BEGINS on the 28th of April

For you Debutante the magic of the Venice Gran Ball of Debutante will begin the day before the event. You will do with your partner the choreography rehearsals of the parade of the entrance procession in the Scuola Grande di San Giovanni Evangelista and some waltzer steps with the live orchestra.

THE CORONATION - 29th of April
From 16.30 to 17.30.

In the prestigious Correr Museum, which houses works by Canova, Bellini and Carpaccio, in the beautiful imperial apartments of Princess SISSI you will experience the exciting moment of the coronation.

The Doge of Venice, in the presence of the Prosecutors of the Serenissima Republic, will place the crown of your debut on you in the presence of your Knight and the Master of Ceremonies.

PARADE IN SAN MARCO SQUARE
From 17.30 to 18.00

Coming to Venice and not experiencing the breathtaking beauty of St. Mark’s Square is impossible.
After the coronation at the Museum Correr you will go out for the parade arm in arm with your partner and you will cross the Ponte della Paglia and you will have the opportunity to admire the Bridge of Sighs. Then you will reach Piazza San Marco, you will pass in procession in front of the precious Basilica of San Marco and you will pass by San Marco Bell tower.
You will feel like time is standing still for a moment while admiring the great beauty and the magical location that surrounds you and you will fix that in your memory forever!

A CUDDLE IN THE OLDEST BAR IN THE WORLD
From 18.00 to 18.45

The Piazza San Marco Association is pleased to invite you for a very special time after the parade: a cuddle in the legendary Grancaffè Quadri in Piazza San Marco. It is the oldest café in the world, founded in 1683 where intellectuals, politicians and celebrities of all times have lived extraordinary moments of their lives.

THE DREAM CONTINUES ON THE GONDOLA...
From 6.45pm to 7.30pm
...FROM PIAZZA SAN MARCO TO SCUOLA GRANDE SAN GIOVANNI EVANGELISTA

After this moment of conviviality at Grancaffè Quadri, you will arrive in procession alongside your Partner to the two Columns of the Piazzetta San Marco and there you will find the Gondolas, one of the oldest and most iconic symbols of Venice, waiting for you. In the undoubtedly most Romantic means of transport in the world, rocked by the water of the lagoon of Venice, cruising among canals, you will reach the Scuola Grande di San Giovanni Evangelista, and there you will start your magical evening of Dancing!

RED CARPET AND APERITIF

From 19.30 to 20.30

For all invited Debutants and Guests, the arrival at the Scuola Grande di San Giovanni Evangelista is preceded by the Passage on the Red Carpet. You will then walk on the Red Carpet like a princess for a night, and once you have registered at the Reception in the Historic Hall of the Scuola Grande San Giovanni, you will go on the first noble floor for an aperitif in the Great Hall of San Giovanni.

THE MARCH DANCES OF RADEZKY BEGIN FOR THE ENTRANCE COURT
From 20.30 to 20.40

The ceremonial announces the entry of the ChamberOrchestra4U orchestra and its conductor Mº Silvia Casarin Rizzolo who with the famous drum roll of the Radezky March will start the entry of the Debutantes. Arm in Arm with your partner, you will then enter triumphantly on the Notes of the most famous march in the world in the Gran Salone San Giovanni in front of the international audience of Guests.

THE DANCERS OF THE TEATRO ALLA SCALA
From 20.40 to 21.00

As tradition dictates in the most famous edition of this historic and beloved event, that of the Vienna Opera Ball, the opening Cameo is danced by the excellence of Dance. The Venice Grand Ball of Debutante presents a tribute to Dance with the Dancers of the most prestigious and famous theater in the world Teatro alla Scala in Milan, who will perform in duos and ensembles.

THE MOST FAMOUS WALTZERS IN THE WORLD
From 21.00 to 21.50

After the tribute to the dance of the dancers of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Mº Casarin Rizzolo, the first Conductor to conduct the orchestra of the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, will open the musical part of the Ball for all the guests. You will dance as a protagonist on the notes of the Waltzers and the most famous and loved polkas in the world … kaiser Waltzer, Bel Blue Danube, Roses of the South, Voices of Spring and many others...

THE GOURMET GALA DINNER
From 21.50 to 23.00

Tino Vettorello, Chef of the Venice International Film Festival, world ambassador of Italian cuisine and Venetian tradition, will create the Gala dinner of The Venice Debutante Grand Ball, inspired by the musical theme of the evening. Dinner will be held on the ground floor. The open bar will remain open throughout the evening.

QUEEN OF THE WALTZ AND KING OF THE WALTZ AWARD
From 23.00 to 24.00

After the Gala Gourmet dinner you will go to the noble floor with all the guests for a moment of great phatos. The Direction Of the Venice Grand Ball of Debutante, through the nominations and the required compilation of the registration form, will select the two winners and confer the two prizes, Queen Of the Waltz and King of the Waltz to the couple who will have Distinguished themselves the most.

The Crown, the cufflinks and the plate Award will be awarded by an institutional figure from the city of Venice, and by the godmother of the Event. If you are the chosen couple, after the coronation, you will dance as a protagonist a tribute to the Italian Style Walzer taken from the famous film “Il Gattopardo” by Luchino Visconti: the Walzer Rota / Verdi. This is also a tribute to the Oldest film festival in the world in Lido of Venice. After the award ceremony, you will dance other famous and beloved songs until the midnight quadrille which, as tradition dictates, will mark the end of the Venice Gran Ball of Debutante.

THE GRAND FINALE

The Grand Finale of The Venice Debutante Grand Ball is dedicated to high fashion with the Midnight Defilé. Every year an important Italian high fashion house will parade with its creations and receive the Serenissimo "BORN IN VENICE" Award for the important creative and entrepreneurial achievement in international fashion. The award is inspired by the brilliant invention of the Serenissima Republic of 19 March 1474, when the Venetian Statute, the first of all in the world, legislated the birth of the patent which has changed history ever since and continues to change it every day in the world!
